Opening 1st Hmong language class in 2016

Attending the Opening Ceremony were Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of PPA; Lieutenant Colonel, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of Education - General Department of Public Security Politics, representatives for the functional units, lecturers and students participating in the class.

Before the practical requirements of the fight against drug-related crime in boundary provinces of Laos and China, require for equipping the legal and professional knowledge for the anti-drug-related crime police force. In addition, it is necessary to train ethnic languages, especially H’mong language, to create favorable conditions for the anti-drug-related crime police forces grasp geographical situation, serving effectively for crime prevention. On the basis of regulations of the General Department of Public Security Politics, the PPA prepared procedures for organizing the Hmong language class to meet the requirements of assigned tasks.

 

The class will take place during 4 months, aiming to equip for participants with the knowledge on historical, cultural characteristics of the H’mong people; daily life communicative language, sentence patterns, words related to drug-related crime prevention. In addition, classes will be held a fact-finding tour at the units and localities to link theory with practice, reinforce the learned knowledge.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA proposed the Class Organization Board to coordinate closely with other functional units to create the best conditions for the class. He also hoped the class would be a prerequisite for the Academy to continue to organize the next class with more other languages to further meet the fight against crime in new situation.
