On September
16th, 2013, the PPA in collaboration with the University of Education – Vietnam
National University, Hanoi held the opening Ceremony on the further training
course on pedagogical skills in 2013 for the lecturers, Training management
officials of the Ministry of Public Security.

Implementing
cooperation Agreement on training between the Ministry of Public Security of
Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos P.D.R, on September 13th,
2013, the PPA formally held the opening ceremony of police training course on anti-environmental
crime for the Ministry of Public
Security of Laos P.D.R.

On September 12th 2013, the PPA in collaboration with the Public
Security Department of Da Nang city and the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam successfully
organized the scientific seminar on “the relationship between lawyers and
investigators during the investigation” in Da Nang City.

On September 12th,
the PPA held the closing ceremony on postgraduate course and presented the
Master Degree Certificate for those who graduated the Master Course 2010-2012.

On September 11th - 12th
2013, the PPA in cooperation with French Embassy in Vietnam and the related
units held the workshop on “Counterfeit Medicine – Threats of the world –
Prevention measures under the perspective of Police – Customs – Public Health.”

In the framework of cooperation program between the
Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia,
the PPA delegation of senior officials led by Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh
Chat, Vice President of the PPA visited and worked with the Royal Police
Academy of Cambodia and the General Department of Police - the Ministry of
Interior of Cambodia.

On August 30th, two electronic
shooting-ranges at PPA funded by the project DA/01/2005 of the Ministry of
Public Security were inaugurated to use for training and studying at the
Academy.

On 30th
August, 2013, the PPA held the appearing ceremony on Traffic Safety Research
Center.

Implementing cooperative
Agreement on training between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and
the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia, on August 27th, 2013, the PPA formally
held the opening ceremony of police training course on prisoner education and
correction for the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia.

Implementing Decision No.682/QĐ-BCA-V12 of the Ministry of
Public Security, from the date of 10th to 16th, August
2013, the delegation of senior officials of the PPA led by Major General, Prof.
Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President of the Academy visited and worked with
some of Laos P.D.R local authorities under the invitation of Major General Xom
Suc Xim Pha Vong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee,
Vice President of Xieng Khoang Province of Laos P.D.R.

Under
cooperation Agreement on training between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam
and the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia, on August 16th, 2013, the PPA formally
held the opening ceremony on economic police training course for the Ministry
of Interior of Cambodia.

With the
approval of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA visited
and worked with the Institute for Criminal Justice Studies (ICJS) of the
University of Portsmouth from July 23rd, 2013 to August 6th,
2013. The University of Portsmouth currently is ranked 25 out of 250 universities of the UK and is ranked the 3rd
level in all universities specializing in training criminal justice and
criminology in the UK.

Under the consent of the leaders of the Ministry
of Public Security in deploying international cooperation activities between
the PPA and the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, on 15th August, 2013, the
PPA in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy
in Hanoi organized a scientific seminar on the relationship between lawyer and
investigator with the assistance of the legal experts of the U.S.A and investigators
and teachers of the police training centers of the M.P.S of Vietnam.

course for the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia .

In the framework of
cooperation activity between the PPA and the United Kingdom Embassy in Hanoi,
on August 12th, 2013, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem,
President of the PPA worked with the Representative of the Serious Organized
Crime Agency (SOCA) in Hanoi. Attending the working session were Mr. Graham
Orr, Chief Representative of the SOCA in charge of Indochina; Mr. Timothy
Gerrish, specialist of the program on
child abuse and exploitation crime prevention.
