In
the framework of cooperative training program between the PPA and the
University of Maryland, USA, on January 07th, 2014, the Academy
worked with the delegation of the University of Maryland, USA.

On
January 14th, 2014, the PPA held solemnly the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) between the PPA and the Institute of Forensic Science - MPS.

On January 12th,
at the University of Commerce in Hanoi,
the sixth blood donation festival day with the name of Red Sunday was held. In
respond to the significant festival, the Youth Union of the PPA mobilized and
calls for a number of the PPA students participating in donating their blood.

To strengthen the cooperative relation
and the cultural exchange with the traditional partners of the Russian
Federation, on 17th December, 2013, Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh Chat,
Vice President of the PPA received Mr. Alexey Yurievich Lavrenev, Director of
the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi. The Meeting was attended
by Mr. Phung Trong Toan, Director of Pushkin Institute; leaders of the Department
of Foreign Languages, International Cooperation Division and Russian-language lecturers
of the Department of Foreign Languages of the PPA.

On 20th December, the Faculty
of Anti-drug Crime Police of the PPA in coordination with the Anti-drug Crime Forces
of some units and provinces held the Ceremony on receiving keepsakes of the Anti-drug
Crime Forces and exhibits of drug cases for the Museum of the PPA.

On December 19th,
the ceremony on summarizing and presenting the prize of the photo contest “To
quoc qua goc nhin tre” was held at the headquarter of the PPA. Responding the
contest, a number of students of the Academy actively participated and gained
the third-prize with the work “Chien sy cua nhan dan” of author Be Manh Kiet, second-year
student of the Academy.

On December 24th, 2013, the
PPA held the closing Ceremony for further training course on preventing and
suppressing crime related to using high-tech for 20 officials of the Ministry
of Interior of Cambodia.

On the occasion
of the 69-year anniversary of founding the People's Army of Vietnam (December
22nd, 1944-2013), the 24th celebration of the Whole People’s Defence
Festival Day (December 22nd, 1989-2013), under the Decree 77/2010 of
the Government on “Cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security and the
Ministry of Defense in the task of protecting national security and preserving
social order and safety", on December 20th, 2013, at the School
of Special Forces Officer, the PPA and the High Command of Special Force -
Department of Defense held the Ceremony on signing Memorandum of Understanding.

2013, the PPA held the special Evening Gala - Welcoming New Year 2014.

On 24th December, 2013, the PPA
held Preliminary Conference on one-year cooperation among the Academy, the General
Department and the High Command of Ministry of Public Security including General Department of Police for Crime Prevention and Suppression;
General Department of Police for Administrative
Management of Social Order and Safety; General
Department of Police for Sentence Execution and Legal Assistance; High
Command of Mobile Police.

the PPA held the meeting on implementing
the results of the 69th National Public Security Conference and summarizing
the Party’s work in the first term of school year of 2013 - 2014.

On December 19th, the PPA hold the evening gala “Welcoming the new year 2014”. The PPA' s Website Editorial Board is honour to introduce the full text of the opening speech of Major General Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA.

On 13th December, the Youth
Union of the PPA held the Conference on implementing the Emulation Movement
“Good teaching, good study and good practice” for the Youth Union members of
the PPA. Attending the Conference were Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice
President of the PPA; leaders of some related Departments within the Academy;
the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the PPA; the Executive Committees
of the Associated Youth Union Branches and Secretaries of the Youth Union Branches
of the Academy.

On December 13th,
2013, at the PPA’s Headquarters, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem,
President of the PPA had a courtesy meeting with Professor Clive Walker from
the University of Leeds of the United Kingdom. The leaders of the Academy
Office, the Centre for Criminology and some other relevant Departments of the
PPA were also attended the event.

On December 11th, the
Department of Foreign Languages of the PPA held the career-oriented Seminar
on the theme: “Future career for English language students of the PPA” in order
to encourage learning motivation for students of Specialty of English language for
Police of the PPA as well as improve the quality of teaching and learning
foreign languages at the Academy in the integration period.
