The thesis is a systematic and comprehensive study of DNA research in criminal investigation with the following new features:

1. The thesis has studied and analyzed a number of typical domestic and foreign scientific works related to DNA expertise in criminal investigation, thus identifying the issues that need to be further investigated.

2. The thesis has contributed to the development and implementation of a theoretical framework for DNA testing in criminal investigation such as the concept, object and significance of DNA assessment in criminal investigation; scientific background, legal basis, methods, means, contents and procedures for DNA expertise in criminal investigation; Coordination of forces and international cooperation in DNA testing for criminal investigation.

3. The thesis has investigated the situation of crimes and criminal cases, the situation of technical and criminal expertise, the situation of biological assessment; the status of organizing forces, equipping means and carrying out the contents and procedures for DNA expertise in criminal investigation activities; the coordination of forces and international cooperation in DNA testing in criminal investigation. By that, affirm the advantages, the results achieved and point out the limitations, shortcomings and the causes of these deficiencies.

4. Forecasting the situation and factors influencing DNA screening in criminal investigation; Proposing systematic and feasible solutions contributes to improving the efficiency of DNA screening in criminal investigations in the coming time.
