New contributions of the thesis:

1. The thesis has selected, analyzed and generalized scientific works of some countries in the world and in Vietnam related to the protection of diplomatic missions according to the function of the Mobile Police force. Thereby, the thesis has identified some problems that need to be further researched and solved.

2. The thesis has contributed to building and supplementing the theoretical system on the protection of diplomatic missions according to the function of the Mobile Police force, such as: Concept, characteristics of diplomatic missions; concepts, characteristics, legal basis, principles, contents, measures and coordination relationship between the Mobile Police force and other forces in the process of protecting diplomatic missions.

3. The thesis has surveyed, analyzed, objectively and comprehensively assessed the status of the protection of diplomatic missions according to the function of Mobile Police force in general and the Police Regiment to protect the targets of diplomatic missions in particular. On that basis, the thesis supplies comments and assessments on the achievements, limitations, shortcomings and its causes in the protection of diplomatic missions by the Mobile Police force.

4. The thesis has forecast and proposed some solutions to improve the effectiveness of the protection of diplomatic missions by the Mobile Police force to meet the requirements and tasks of security in the near future.

The issues of the thesis have scientific value to be used in the research, teaching, compiling of curriculum, reference materials in the People's Public Security universities.
