The thesis serves as a systematic in-depth scientific work of the theory and practice of investigating embezzlement according to the function of Economic Police force in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Accordingly, the thesis clarifies the following fundamental contents:
- Theoretical issues on embezzlement, legal features of embezzlement, investigative methods against this crime, and the cooperation of the Economic Police force with the other forces in the investigation of embezzlement.
- The thesis analyzes and clarifies the criminal characteristics of embezzlement in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, including: crime situation, personal characteristics of the offender, methods and tricks of embezzlement, etc.
- The thesis assessed the current situation of organizing and conducting the investigation of embezzlement of the economic police force of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic indicated the limitations and their causes in the process of investigation of embezzlement according to the function of the economic police force of Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
- The thesis gives forecasts on the crime situation, factors affecting to the investigation and solution to enhance the efficiency of the investigation of embezzlement of the Economic Police force of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
As a spotlight, in the content of the thesis, the orientation are presented and a number of comprehensive solutions are developed for gradually boosting the efficiency of investigative operations against property embezzlement in the coming time.
