1. This is the first doctoral work which studies systematically and comprehensively on exercising the right to prosecute and control the investigation of the People's Procuracy in investigating the criminal cases in a specific locality.

2. The thesis researches, reviews, commentaries comprehensively the theoretical issues about prosecution, exercising the right to prosecute and control the investigation of criminal cases. The thesis clarifies the basic theories in exercising the right to prosecute and control the investigation of criminal cases.

3. Theoretically, the results of the thesis contributes to supplement, gradually improving and enriching the theoretical system of prosecution, exercising the right to prosecute and control the judiciary activities in general and the investigative activities in particular.

4. Practically, the thesis will be an essential reference which helps the Director, Deputy Director of the People's Procuracy, the prosecutors in general and especially those who are working at the People's Procuracy at the two levels in Ha Noi to reference and apply to improve the effectiveness of exercising the right to prosecute and control the investigation of criminal cases in the future.
