Within framework of the PPA’s international cooperation program in 2018, on August 3rd, 2018, the President of PPA had a meeting with Mr. Olivier Lefebvre, French Security Attaché in Vietnam to discuss about the promotion of the cooperation between the Academy and the French counterparts.

On July 17th, 2018, the PPA held the closing ceremony of basic Korean language course for Hanoi police force. This is part of the collaborative activities between the PPA and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The course was taught by KOICA experts from May 21st to July 17th, 2018. Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA presided at the event.

On June 19, 2018 under the approval of the Ministry of Public Security, the People’s Police Academy held a meeting with the delegation from University of Maryland, USA led by Mr. Gregory Ball, Dean of University of Maryland’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS). Maj.Gen.Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Minh Chat, Vice-President of the PPA chaired the meeting with the attendance of representatives of International Cooperation Department and Training and Education Management Department.

On June 6th, 2018, the PPA held a meeting and presented the Certificates of Merit to two Korean experts for their active contributions to education and training of the PPA.

On 16th May, the People's Police Academy operated a meeting with the delegation of People's Public Security University of China led by Mr Vice Principle Zhou Zhenyu. Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yiem – President of PPA presided over the meeting.

As part of the cooperation program between the General Department of Police - Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Australian Federal Police (AFP), on April 16th 2018, the PPA together with representatives of the Asian Regional Law Enforcement Management Program (ARLEMP), organized an international scientific seminar on "Prevention of Human Trafficking and Illegal Immigration".

In implementation of the Decision No. 700/QD-BCA-V12 dated February 26th, 2018 of the Minister of Public Security to delegate 5 members to Qatar, includingVice President of the People's Police Academy (Head of the delegation), Vice President of the People's Security Academy and three staff of the two academies to attend the seventh Annual Conference of the International Police Academy Association (INTERPA) from April 1 to April 6, 1818 in Doha, Qatar.

On April 2nd 2018, the People’s Police Academy organized a meeting with the delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Hanoi led by Mr. Lee Chul - Minister Counselor. Maj. Gen. Tran Minh Chat - Vice President of PPA chaired the meeting, there were also the presences of representatives of Department of International Cooperation, Administration Office of the Academy and Centre for Achieves and Library.

With the agreement of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, implementing the annual international cooperation program, the People’s Police Academy organized a training course entitled "Improving the effectiveness of crime prevention and fighting" for 15 officers and students of Royal Police Cadet Academy of Thailand, and 03 students from Korean National Police University from March 19th to 30th, 2018.

Within the framework of foreign affairs and international cooperation in 2018 of the People's Police Academy, implementing the Decision of the Minister of Public Security, the delegation of the PPA led by Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, visited and worked with The Malik Institute, Switzerland and the French National Institute for Advanced Studies in Security and Justice from March 12th to 19th, 2018.

With the introduction of the Permanent Mission of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United Nations and under the approval of the Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) conducted the meeting with Professor Ira Belkin - Executive Director of the U.S. Asia Law Institute, New York University School of Law on January 17, 2018.

Implementing the international cooperation plan of the PPA, in the academic year 2016 - 2017, the International Cooperation Department in cooperation with experts from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) successfully organized the course of studying Korean language in 06 months with the participation of 20 students who are officers, teachers and students of the Academy taught by Korean experts.

Following the decision of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the delegation of PPA, led by Colonel, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong, Vice President of the Academy attended the conference "The role of judicial expertise in the detection and investigation of crimes" at the Moscow State University, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation from 5th to December, 11th, 2017.
