In the framework of ASEANAPOL cooperation mechanism from November
14th to 17th 2016, the delegations of PPA and People's
Police College led by Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Chat, Vice
President attended 7th ASEANAPOL Police Training Cooperation Meeting
(APTCM) in Kuala Lumpur city, Malaysia.

Implementing plan of cooperation in 2016 between the Ministry
of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and the Interior Ministry of the Kingdom of
Cambodia, from 6th-11th November, 2016, the senior
delegation of PPA led by Lieutenant General Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President
of Academy visited, worked, and signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
the Public Security Academy of Cambodia.

Implementing Decision of the Minister of Public
Security, the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam leading
by Major
General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat, Vice
President of the PPA attended the second CHINA - ASEAN police academic forum held at Quảng
Tây from Sept, 7th - 11th, 2016. Also attending were representatives of the
People's Security academy, the People's Police University, the Immigration
Department - Ministry of Public Security.

On
August 2nd, 2016, the PPA was held the closing ceremony of training course on
enhancing knowledge and communication skills on wildlife protection and handed
over Detection of Environmental Crime Training (DETECT) training manual.

On July 19th, 2016,
the PPA was held the Closing Ceremony
of professional training course for 15 officers of Ministry of Public Security of
Laos in 2016.

According
to the Decision of the Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General, Prof.
Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA attended the 9th Conference of International Investigative
Interviewing Research Group - IIIRG in London, UK.

With
the consent of the Ministry of Public Security, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr.
Nguyen Van Nhat, Vice President of the PPA - Director of Police Sciences Institute
led the delegation of the PPA visited and worked with the Royal Melbourne
Institute of Technology (RMIT University) and New South Wales Police Force, the
Commonwealth of Australia from April 24th-30th, 2016. Schedule
of the PPA’s delegation included two main parts: working with the Royal
Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) and working with New South
Wales Police Force.

With
the consent of the Ministry of Public Security, on April 19th, 2016,
the PPA had the meeting and working with the high-rank delegation of the Korean
National Police University (KNPU).

With the permission of leaders of
the Ministry of Public Security, on April 11th, 2016, the People’s
Police Academy (PPA) held a ceremony to welcome and sign a memorandum of
understanding with the Law Enforcement University of Mongolia.

On March 21st, 2016, the delegates
of Royal Thai Police Academy led by Major General Sophon Srivapot - Vice
President of Academy visited and held a talk with the PPA. Major General, Prof.
Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice President of the PPA received the delegation.

With the consent of the MPS, on
March 23rd, 2016, the Research Center for Criminology and Crime Investigation -
the PPA in collaboration with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) held the
training course on "Skills to collect, manage and analyze information on
wildlife crime" for officers and soldiers in charge of anti-environmental
related crime of the Police Department of Anti-Environmental Related Crime and the
Public Security Department of Hanoi City.

With the consent of the leadership
of the MPS, on March 8th, 2016, the PPA in collaboration with the UN Children's
Fund (UNICEF) held the training course on investigation of computer facilitated
crimes against children.

On March 2nd, 2016, Mr. Lothar Mueler – Chief of Berlin
Economic Criminal Investigation Office made a presentation on the experience on
the topic “Economic related Criminals in Germany and International Cooperation
in combating crime” at the People’s Police Academy.

With the consent of the leader of
the Ministry of Public Security, on March 1st, 2016 the PPA signed the MOU with
Academy of Law and Management of the Federal Penal Service of Russia.

Continuing the project
"Strengthening of English language capacity for Vietnamese police
force" from February, 2015 supported by the US Embassy in Hanoi, on
December 14th, 2015, Major General, Assoc.Prof Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice
President of the PPA had a meeting with the partners of the US Embassy in Hanoi
led by Mr. Rex Roberson, Director of International Narcotics and Law
Enforcement (INL) in Bangkok, Thailand and Diane Michele Millar, Director of
the Regions English Language Office (RELO), leaders of International
Cooperation Department, Faculty of Foreign Languages and the English lecturers
used to participating in the training courses on building the English language training
program in March, 2015.
