With the introduction of the Permanent Mission of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United Nations and under the approval of the Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) conducted the meeting with Professor Ira Belkin - Executive Director of the U.S. Asia Law Institute, New York University School of Law on January 17, 2018.

Statistics from the Department of Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training) and the General Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) jointly implemented in 2017 showed that in 20718 adolescents up to 321 students. This is an alarming number given at the scientific conference "Renovation of propaganda and mobilization of pupils and students involved in drug prevention and control" on January 17th ,2018 at PPA.

In the academic year 2017 - 2018, the PPA has coordinated with the Fund for the Development of Vietnam, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam and the Lien Viet Post Bank to built 23 gratitude houses for families under preferential benefit treatment policy in Quang Nam.

Implementing the international cooperation plan of the PPA, in the academic year 2016 - 2017, the International Cooperation Department in cooperation with experts from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) successfully organized the course of studying Korean language in 06 months with the participation of 20 students who are officers, teachers and students of the Academy taught by Korean experts.

On January, 9th 2018, with the agreement of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and leaders of the Ministry of Health, on the basis of discussion and agreement between the two institutions, the PPA has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Vietnam - Germany Friendship Hospital in training, scientific research and exchange activities.

On January, 2nd 2018, the PPA held the Closing ceremony of the training course for officers, teachers planned to be Deputy Head of Division and equivalence in the Academy.

In June 2015, the delegation of the PPA consisted of 10 members, led by Major General, Prof. Dr Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of PPA, participated in Mission 15 to visit Truong Sa and DK1. The trip has left many deep feelings in each member, especially fierce patriotism, national pride and determination to dedicate to the cause of construction and defense of the country.

On December 21th, 2017, the PPA held an event to honor and meet students with high achievements in competitions such as international informatics and programming Olympiad, English Olympiad for non - major English students: Olympiad of Marxist - Leninist and Ho Chi Minh Thought related subjects and the scientific research competition held by the Ministry of Education and training.

On the 15th and 16th of December, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of the People's Army of Viet Nam, the 45th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in the air, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of PPA, the Trade Union Congress "Back to the source" in Con Dao, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
