On December 1st , 2017 the Board of Directorates and officers, teachers and students of the PPA led by Major General, Assoc. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (07/11/1917 - 07/11/2017), on November 3rd, 2017, the liaison committee of Vietnamese Police Alumni studied in the Soviet Union and Russian Federation, in cooperation with PPA, organized a meeting "The friendship between Vietnam - Russia”.

On October 9th , 2017, the PPA organized a training course on "New problems in the prevention and combat against economic crime" for lecturers of the of Economic Police Department and officials of local units.

On September 26th, 2017, the PPA held solemnly the Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2017 - 2018. Attending the Ceremony were H.E. Senior Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. To Lam - Member of Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy General Director of General Department of Politics; representatives of the General Departments, Departments and Institutions of the Ministry of Public Security; elder teachers and distinguished domestic and international guests.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Research Center for Criminology and Crime Investigation (2007 - 2017), on September 14th, 2017, the PPA organized a scientific seminar on “Development Orientation of Criminology and Criminal Science in Vietnam”. Major General, Prof. Dr. Ho Trong Ngu - Vice President of the PPA attended and chaired the seminar.

In the exciting atmosphere of the new school year and the 50th anniversary of PPA establishment (May 15th, 1968 - May 15th, 2018), on September 17th, 2017, the PPA Youth Union held the “Green Dream” show to welcome freshmen of course D43 and the 4th course of Criminal justice specialty.
