Currently, the People's Police Academy strives to achieve
recognition as the country’s key educational institutions, deserve the position
and role of the leading school in the people's police force throughout the
process of regional and international integration. In that progression ,
People's Police Academy has been concentrating all resources, prioritizing
constructive investment and
developing itself into a ranking educational, applied and multi-disciplinary
training institution; reaching national and heading to regional and
international standards; becoming a
center for training well-qualified human
resources in the undergraduate and postgraduate level and cultivating leaders
and commanders at the strategic level of the people's police force; educating
several necessary fields for the people's police which other institutions have
yet been able to train to meet the requirements and tasks of protecting the
national security, ensuring social order and safety as well as socio-economic development.

On May, 17th 2018, the People’s Police Academy organized the opening ceremony of professional fostering course on preventing and combating the Transnational Crime for officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The Best Lecturer Contest of the PPA in school year 2017 - 2018 took place from April 16th to May 16th, 2018 with the participation of 51 experienced officers and lecturers from faculty, department in the PPA in which 10 lecturers registered for teaching professional subjects in English.

Abstract: The People’s Police Academy (PPA) is one of the top high quality institutions of the Vietnamese People’s Police Force in term of education, training and science researching. In recent years, under the leadership of the Leaders from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS)’s and the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the PPA’s works of education and training have largely been enhanced and remarkable achievements have been recorded. These gained achievements have been largely consolidated the Academy’s political requirements and for the honor status of the people’s police.

Being a constituent part of the people's Public Security force, playing a pivotal role in ensuring traffic order and safety, contributing to the peaceful life of the people, the Traffic Police has become a reflection of all types of mass media and has become a bridge to bold the image of Traffic Police in the people’s mind.

On May 14th 2018, the People's Police Academy solemnly celebrated its 50th anniversary (May 15th 1968 - May 15th 2018) and received the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces during the American War”. On May 14th 2018, the People's Police Academy solemnly celebrated its 50th anniversary (May 15th 1968 - May 15th 2018) and received the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces during the American Vietnam War”. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Member of Politburo, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam attended and congratulated the Academy.

On the afternoon of May 11th 2018, the PPA solemnly held a ceremony to award many merit certificates and noble prizes to collectives and individuals in the Academy to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its foundation (May 15th 1968 – May 15th 2018).

On May 10th 2018, at the Tran Duc Truong Hall, the PPA held the awarding ceremony for 39 new PhDs and 360 new Masters in 2018.

On the morning of May 8th, in the historic Ba Dinh Square, the delegation of the PPA led by Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem – President of the Academ, the Directorate and leaders of the units, honorably reported achievements to Uncle Ho on the occasion of the 128th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday (19/5/1890 - 19/5/2018), the 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho's call for patriotic emulation (11/6/1948 - 11/6/2018) and the 50th anniversary of the PPA’s foundation (15/5/1968 - 15/5/2018).
