With youthful enthusiasm, in the early days of the New Year, on February 18th, 2016, more than 140 PPA's students have participated in the "9th Pink Spring Festival".
The "Pink Spring Festival" is the largest voluntary blood donation movement in the country, launched by the National Institute of Hematology - Blood Transfusion in 2008. The festival is an important contribution to ensure blood storage for treatment during the lunar New Year and raise community's awareness as well as change people’s perspective about voluntary blood donation. With the message: "Donating red blood – Granting life", the "9th Pink Spring Festival" Organizing Committee hoped to gain new success, contributing to thoroughly overcome blood shortage and blood group imbalance today, bringing life to many patients in need of blood transfusion.
Attending and directing the "Pink Spring Festival 2016" were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Minister of Ministry of Public Health; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri, Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Leaders of agencies, departments and social organization.

With PPA youth union member, the voluntary movements are significant activities attracting the participation of all students; therefore, the "Pink Spring Festival" can not be without them. Attending in the National Convention Centre, PPA Youth Union members have shown their self-motivation, vivaciousness and passionate, ebullient spirit, including blood donation, evenful dances, special martial arts performances ... to cheer and encourage the movement. Along with volunteer groups of universities and colleges in Hanoi city, the PPA Volunteer Club and Flashmob club made camps, exhibited and sold products such as "Police" bears, handbags, key chains ..., These products were small, but all money will be spent on supporting individuals in difficult circumstances.
Activities at the "Pink Spring Festival 2016” of the People's Police Academy Youth Union Members have contributed to the overall success of the movement "Donating red blood – Granting life". In addition, these activities contributed to building dynamic, enthusiastic and extremely compassionate image of the People's Police soldiers.
