On December 15th, 2015, at the Vietnam
National University, there was the final contest of "National English
Olympiad for non-major students in 2015". Winning 80 teams around the country, the PPA
together with 6 representatives attended the final contest, including the University
of Foreign Languages – Da Nang University; the Thang Long University; the International
Faculty - Vietnam National University, Ha Noi; the University of Economics and
Law – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh; the University Transport and
Communication.
The “English Olympiad contest for non-major students” is
held annually with the participation of numerous universities and colleges over
the country. This year, there were 80 teams participating in the contest. With
the theme of "Students create, integrate and build up the English learning
community", the “English Olympiad contest for non-major students” is an useful
playground for the students to interact, exchange experience, talent, love of
English as well as capacity of international integration. Besides, this contest
will encourage, promote the movement of learning English over the country.
At the final, 6 teams have gone through three rounds:
Greetings, Knowledge and Debate. All the teams showed their excellent capacity
of English as well as in-depth understanding in each round. Especially, in the greeting
round, the PPA’s team made deep impression with great regulation performance, expressing
the unique characteristics of the armed forces that really impressed the jury.
