New contributions of the thesis:
The thesis is the first scientific work that brings a systematic and relatively comprehensive perspective of crime prevention and fighting techniques in the fight against thief with new points as follows:

1. The thesis has studied and analyzed some typical scientific works in and outside Vietnam related to crime prevention and fighting techniques in the fight against thief, thereby determining the issues that need to be studied and resolved in the thesis.

2. The thesis has contributed to building and supplementing the theoretical system of theft and crime prevention and fighting techniques in the fight against thief such as: Concept, legal characteristics of theft; concepts, characteristics, roles, principles, conditions, legal basis, content, sequence and coordination relations between the Forensic Science force and functional forces within and outside the Public Security sector.

3. The thesis has conducted a survey on the situation of theft, the implementation of the measure of crime prevention and fighting techniques; actual situation of organization, force, means, contents, sequence and coordination relations between Forensic Science force and functional forces within and outside the Police sector in the process of applying crime prevention and fighting techniques in the fight against theft.

4. The thesis has predicted the relevant situation and factors affecting the application of the measure of crime prevention and fighting techniques in the fight against theft; proposed systematic and feasible solutions to improve the effectiveness of this measure in the fight against theft in the coming time.
