This thesis is comprehensive research on prevention the offenders commit a crime in the prison in Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The new contributions of the thesis are summarized as followed:

1. The thesis is a research about preventing the offenders commit a crime in the prison in Lao People’s Democratic Republic such as: Concept of offenders, concept of offenders commits the crime in the prison, legal characteristic of the offenders commit the crime in the prison.

2. The thesis is a research to solve the problem about the preventing the offenders commit a crime in the prison in Lao People’s Democratic Republic such as: Situation, characteristic of the prison, the situation of the offenders and the offenders commit the crime in the prison, manage and educate the offenders, faculty of the prison.

3. The thesis studies, analyzes and evaluates the factors affecting the prevention of offenders in prisons in the Lao People's Democratic Republic such as the situation and characteristics of prisons; the situation and characteristics of offenders and offenders in the detention centers; management, detention and education of prisoners; The facilities of the detention centers.

4. The thesis studies, evaluates and clarifies the actual situation of crime prevention activities in prisons. Based on that, the thesis clarifies advantages and disadvantages, points out the causes of limitations and shortcomings in the prevention of offenders in the prison of the police force of Lao People's Democratic Republic.

5. The thesis predicts the factors affecting the prevention of offenders and at the same time propose 9 solutions and 4 recommendations to contribute to improving the effectiveness of crime prevention in prisons in Lao People's Democratic Republic in the coming time.
