In the evening of May 15th, 2017, the PPA Guitar Club held Guitar show with theme “Rain in May” at the PPA. This annual event was organized to create a healthy and useful playground for students who have passion for music.

Since its foundation up to now, with 47 years of constructing, improving and maturing, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) has been making great strides, contributing many achievements for education of the nation in general and of the Public Security force in particular. From May 1st to May 5th, 2017, the delegation of the PPA led by Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy attended the Ceremony for presenting Honorary Doctorate Degree of National Public Security Academy of Cambodia to senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Kingdom of Cambodia.

On May 08th, 2017, the PPA in collaboration with the Australia - Asia Program to Combat Trafficking in Persons (AAPTIP) in Vietnam held the Opening ceremony of training course on reactive investigation in human trafficking cases for the Criminal Police force in Vietnam.

On May 15th, 1968, the Ministry of Public Security issued Decision 514 CA / QD separating the People's Police Branch from the Central Police School, establishing the People's Police School for secondary training of the people’s police force. May 15th, 1968 is also the birth date of the People's Police School and is the traditional day of the People’s Police Academy.

Bachelor's degree program in law with specialization in Criminal Justice in PPA is built on the basis of the framework program for regular university level under Decision No. 29/2005/QD-BGD & ĐT, on September 16th, 2005 by the Minister of Education and Training, with the consent of the Ministry of Education and Training in accordance with official Dispatch No. 4681/BGDDT-GDĐH, on August 28th, 2014 of the Ministry of Education and Training about permitting the PPA to carry out the mission of training university level with bachelor's degree in law for the civil since 2014 - 2015.

Being deeply aware of directives and resolutions of Party and Government on education and training, the Congress of Party Delegation of the PPA in term 2015 - 2020 identified “a strong innovation”, synchronization of elements in education and training as key tasks, which create breakthroughs for improvement of the quality and meet the requirements and tasks of national security protection, fighting against crime and ensuring social order and safety.

Implementing the renovation policy initiated and led by our Party, we have got many important achievements in fields of politics, economy, culture and society. The people's life has been gradually improved. The country has changed deeply and comprehensively. However, due to different causes, there are complex problems that affect security and order. Conflicts within the people and crime situation, social evils are complicated.
