On February 27th,
2014, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA had a
courtesy meeting with Major General Chris McDevitt, Senior Liaison Officer-Chief
of the Australian Federal Police Office (AFP) in Vietnam.

In 2008, with the consent of the leaders of the
Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the PPA signed the Memorandum of Understanding
on cooperation in training and scientific research with the Royal Police Cadet
Academy (RPCA). One of the important cooperative contents was that the two Academies
would exchange the training for police students of higher education system with
a period of 5 years (including 01 years to learn Thai). In 2009, after the two Academies
discussed and agreed with the contents of cooperation, the MPS decided to send
04 students of the PPA (the high quality class) to the RPCA. These students
were selected from those who had excellent scores at the entrance examination.

On February 25th, 2014, the high-ranking Delegation
from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of the State of Israel led by H.E.
Lieutenant General Yitzhak Aharonovitch, Minister of Public Security of Israel visited and worked with the PPA. Attending
the reception were Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of
the PPA; Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA; Major
General Tran Gia Cuong, Director of Department of International Cooperation;
leaders of functional units within the PPA.

After a week of
exchanging and working at the PPA related to the project for establishment of
the E-library at the PPA, on February 21st, the PPA and the Korea
International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) agreed to sign the Record of Discussion
on the projects.

On February
17th, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the
PPA and Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy had a
Meeting with the Survey Team of Korean International Cooperation Agency in
Vietnam (KOICA) on the implementation of the project for establishment e-library
at the PPA. Attending the Meeting were Representatives of relevant units such as
Center of Scientific Information and Academic Materials, Project Management
Department, Logistics Department, etc.

In
the framework of cooperation with the British Embassy in Hanoi and the National
Crime Agency (NCA), on February 17th, 2014, the PPA and the British
Embassy in Hanoi held the Opening Ceremony for Anti-money laundering training
workshop at the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel.

In
the framework of cooperative training program between the PPA and the
University of Maryland, USA, on January 07th, 2014, the Academy
worked with the delegation of the University of Maryland, USA.

To strengthen the cooperative relation
and the cultural exchange with the traditional partners of the Russian
Federation, on 17th December, 2013, Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh Chat,
Vice President of the PPA received Mr. Alexey Yurievich Lavrenev, Director of
the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi. The Meeting was attended
by Mr. Phung Trong Toan, Director of Pushkin Institute; leaders of the Department
of Foreign Languages, International Cooperation Division and Russian-language lecturers
of the Department of Foreign Languages of the PPA.

On December 24th, 2013, the
PPA held the closing Ceremony for further training course on preventing and
suppressing crime related to using high-tech for 20 officials of the Ministry
of Interior of Cambodia.

On December 13th,
2013, at the PPA’s Headquarters, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem,
President of the PPA had a courtesy meeting with Professor Clive Walker from
the University of Leeds of the United Kingdom. The leaders of the Academy
Office, the Centre for Criminology and some other relevant Departments of the
PPA were also attended the event.

In the evening
of 3rd December, 2013, the PPA of Vietnam formally held the cultural
exchange night in honour of celebrating the 40 years of Vietnamese-Japanese
diplomatic relationship.

On December 2nd,
the PPA formally celebrated the 38-year anniversary of National Day of Laos PDR
(December 2nd, 1975 – December 2nd, 2013) and received
the Order of Labor, the Order of Friendship of the President of Laos PDR for the
PPA officials.

On 10th
December, 2013, Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA
worked with some of Korean companies on training program for security guards for
enterprises. Attending the meeting were representatives from some of the Korean
companies as: INTOPS Co. Ltd, SUNG_JIN Co. Ltd, SHINHAN Co. Ltd, ECOS Co. Ltd,
J-ONE Co. Ltd, GMIE Co. Ltd, MOA_TECH Co. Ltd, M-TECH Co. Ltd and YOUNG_IN Co.
Ltd; representatives of Student Management Department, Martial Art and Military
Training Subject, Armed Police Faculty, International Cooperation Department
and the PPA’s Office.

In the framework of the project "Strengthening
of capacity of training traffic police in the People's Police Academy and
police training institutions", on 3rd December, 2013, Lieutenant General,
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA received the delegation of National
Police of Japan. Attending the meeting were the Japan International Cooperation
Agency (JICA), representatives of the Academy Office, the Traffic Police
Department, the Research
Center for Traffic Safety
and the International Cooperation Department of the PPA.

In the framework of the project “Strengthening
traffic police training in the PPA and other police training institutions in
Vietnam”, on December 5th, 2013, at the PPA, the Academy and the Office
of JICA Vietnam jointly held the Exchange Program on ensuring traffic safety
and order - the experience of Japan and Vietnam.
