On November 14, 2016, the People's Police Academy held a solemn ceremony to
start the 21st fellow course and award PhD degree in 2016. The Major
General, Assoc. Prof. Dr Do Ngoc Can - Deputy General Director of the General

2016, in PPA, the General Political Department of People’s Police held a
ceremony to announce the Minister of Police’s decision of appointing the

State Council for Professor Title of Vietnam held a ceremony to announce
decision and award certificates for the title of Professor and Associate

cohort of the Joint Master’s Degree in Justice Leadership with the University
of Maryland, USA. H.E Police Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen
Van Thanh, Member
of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice Minister of Public Security attended and delivered the speech
at the ceremony. The Editorial Board of PPA’s Web Portal pruned the important
contents of the speech and presented to the readers.

On October 26th, 2016, the PPA held the
Opening Ceremony for the 1st ASEAN Workshop for English Teachers of
Police Training Institutions to discuss on building ESP courses for police
officers by sharing successes and challenges.

On October 6th 2016, in HCM City, PPA in
cooperation with the General Police Department of Criminal Enforcement and
Judicial Assistance, the Ministry of Public Security held a scientific
conference entitled "Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Assistance -

October 17th, 2016, the PPA held solemnly the Opening Ceremony of
the academic year 2016 - 2017. Attending the Ceremony were H.E. Senior Lieutenant
General, Prof. Dr. To Lam - Member of Politburo of the Communist Party of
Vietnam, Secretary of Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of
Public Security; representatives of the General Departments, Departments and
Institutions of the Ministry of Public Security; elder teachers and

In order to fully grasp and implement the Resolution of 12th National Party Congress on ensuring national defense and security, prevention and fighting against crimes, social order and safety assurance, on Sept 15th, 2016, the PPA held a Conference on "prevention of crime, social order and safety assurance in the light of the Resolution of 12th National Party Congress".

Sept 29th, 2016, the PPA in cooperation with the Reasoning
Subcommittee on social security and order, the Ministry of Public Security’s Council
of Theory held a scientific conference on "Prevention, investigation of
drug-related crime in the new situation".
