Within the framework of foreign affairs and international cooperation in 2018 of the People's Police Academy, implementing the Decision of the Minister of Public Security, the delegation of the PPA led by Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, visited and worked with The Malik Institute, Switzerland and the French National Institute for Advanced Studies in Security and Justice from March 12th to 19th, 2018.

Under the approval of the Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security about continuing the English Fellow Project 2018 supported by the U.S. Embassy, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) had a meeting with Ms. Diane Millar, Director of RELO and English Fellow in March 08, 2018.

On March 7th 2018 a delegation of the Department of Schools - Ministry of Defense, led by Colonel Nguyen Dinh Dan, Deputy Director General, paid a working visit to the People’s Police Academy. Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy, chaired the meeting.

On the occasion of the lunar new year, with the agreement of the Party Committee and the Directorate, on March 6th 2017, the Youth Union of the Academy organized a chain of cultural activities in response to the Afforestation Festival.

On February 6th 2018, the PPA held a ceremony to receive the marble block inscribed with the words "The People's Police Academy" from the D1 alumni.

On February 2nd 2018, The People’s Police Academy and The Graduate University of Science and Technology under Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, held a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement in training, scientific research, application development, and exchange activities.

In the early 70s of the 20th century, traffic accidents in Japan became a social problem, with an average of 17,000 deaths each year. With the goal of “All for Humanity”, after almost 50 years of efforts to ensure traffic safety, traffic accidents in Japan have been reduced more than three quarters of the deaths compared to 1970, which helped Japan become one of the most modern, civilized and secure transportation systems in the world.

On January 30th 2018, the People’s Police Academy organized the closing ceremony of the training course on “Improving national defense and security knowledge” for officers and lecturers participating in teaching national defense and security of the Academy.

On January 24th 2018, the PPA organized the ceremony of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Logistics and Technique Force - People’s Public Security (25/01/1948 - 25/01/2018) and launched the internal website of Logistics Division.

Heading to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Academy’s foundation (15/5/1968 - 15/5/2018), on January 18th , 2018, the Academy’s Youth Union in coordination with the Dancing Club organized 6th season of the competition “Dance with me” with the theme "Colors of youth".

With the introduction of the Permanent Mission of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United Nations and under the approval of the Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) conducted the meeting with Professor Ira Belkin - Executive Director of the U.S. Asia Law Institute, New York University School of Law on January 17, 2018.

Statistics from the Department of Student Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training) and the General Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) jointly implemented in 2017 showed that in 20718 adolescents up to 321 students. This is an alarming number given at the scientific conference "Renovation of propaganda and mobilization of pupils and students involved in drug prevention and control" on January 17th ,2018 at PPA.

In the academic year 2017 - 2018, the PPA has coordinated with the Fund for the Development of Vietnam, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam and the Lien Viet Post Bank to built 23 gratitude houses for families under preferential benefit treatment policy in Quang Nam.
