On 28th
July, the PPA held a ceremony on announcing decision of ranking and salary
promotion for nearly 200 police officers and staffs who are currently working for
the Academy. Attending and presiding the ceremony was Major General, Prof.Dr
Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President of the PPA, leadership representatives of the
functional units within the PPA and all of promoted officers to be presented at
the Ceremony.

The State will prioritize investments to assist education facilities nationwide in realizing the universalization of education and eradication of illiteracy, according to Decree 20/2014/ND-CP which is scheduled to take effect since May 15.

On May 29th, the PPA was solemnly held the
Conference for summarizing 12 years of training by high quality model under the
chairmanship of Major General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President of the
Academy.

On 22nd May, the PPA held the special talk
on “Role of Buddhism in Vietnam in the cause of building and defending country”
for all officials, lecturers and students by Venerable Dr. Thich Chon Thien -
Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the
Central Buddhist Institution of Vietnam, member of the 13th National Assembly who
talked about the process that Buddhism was introduced and developed in Vietnam.

In the emulation
atmosphere to welcome the important ceremonies in historical May of the nation
as well as celebrating 46 years of the PPA’s founding day (May 15th, 1968 -
2014), on May 26th, 2014, the PPA inaugurated the cultural and sports park for
the officers and students of the Academy.

On 15th May, the PPA held the Ceremony on presenting the Doctor
Degree Certificate in 2014.

Within the
framework of activities towards the 60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May
7th, 1954 - May 7th, 2014) and the 46th
founding anniversary of the PPA, in the evening of April 28th, 2014,
the cultural exchange with the theme “From Dien Bien Phu to Homeland Island” was
held by the PPA and the ensemble of the High Command of Border Guard.

In response to the World Book and Copyright Day (April 23rd)
and the Vietnam Book Day (April
21st), on April 23rd, the PPA’s Library
Center held the talk on "Reading skills - Essential
skills in Universities” under the chairmanship of Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan
Khang, Vice President of the Academy.

With the aims to celebrate 39 years of
Liberation Day, 60 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory and to commemorate the 46th
founding anniversary of the PPA, on April 26th, the PPA organized the program of
professional training on fire prevention and firefighting, drill of fire rescue
in 2014.

On April 15th, the PPA, Ministry
of Public Security and People’s Committee of Can Tho city organized the Seminar
on “Application of CCTV technology to ensure traffic order and safety and handle
traffic violations by photo”. The Seminar had the participation of leaders of
the Traffic Safety Committee and the Public Security of several provinces in
the Mekong River Delta.

step up, I separated from animals to come closer to the people”. This opinion
generalized correctly the role of books for human life. Each book opens new
horizon, it is regarded as the torch that illuminates people on the most remote
and darkest roads of his life, as the teacher who teaches us the unlimited
source of knowledge, teaches us how to live and sacrifice. Book is the soul
mate to share all joy and sadness of every human being and reading book has
become the necessity of human society.

From 11th
to 13th, April, 2014, the PPA’s senior delegation visited and held
the inauguration ceremony of the work "Rock-garden" which was donated
by the PPA at the Con
Dao Museum.

In response to
the Youth Month launched by the PPA’s Youth Union, toward the World Environment
Day June 5th and celebrating the 4th anniversary of
establishment of the Faculty of Anti-Environmental Related Crime Investigation,
on March 28th, 2014, the Faculty of Anti-Environmental Related Crime
Investigation in collaboration with the Environmental Verification and Analysis
Center within Department of Anti-Environmental Related Crime investigation held
the program on propagandizing the environmental protection at the Peace Park in
Hanoi.

Towards the 60th
anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7th, 1954 - May 7th, 2014), the PPA
held a talk on the Dien Bien Phu Victory by the historical witness Colonel,
Hero of People's Armed Forces Phung Van Khau with the officers and lecturers of
the PPA.

On March 28th,
the PPA in collaboration with the General Department of Administrative
Management of Social Order held the scientific Conference "Improving the
quality of driving training, testing and licensing to minimize accidents and
traffic jams" under the co- chair of Lieutenant General Do Dinh Nghi,
Deputy Director General of the General Department of Administration Management of
Social Order and Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the
PPA.
